Kotha and fever!

I guess the changing weather has something to do with this. Kotha has had a high fever since morning today. She has just started feeling better a bit. However, she still has a bad headache and weakness. Initially I thought she had a viral infection but I am doubting now because of her fast recovery. I will have to see if the fever attacks again tonight. If it does then it will for sure be a case of virus. The sickness of my wife opened up the doors today to waste the whole time in front of the computer.

I checked out a website named, “helium.com.” They claim that they pay you for your articles. I am not after those small money but I just wanted to check out how it works. I signed up and published my previous article comparing msn and yahoo. I mistakenly submitted twice causing my article to appear twice. Surprisingly, they do not have an option of deleting my own submitted article from their database. Anyways, two of the same article is currently appearing twice still. No one has informed it. In my category there were 5 submissions (2 are mine) and my articles stand in the 2nd and 3rd position. What happens next? I do not know.

Earlier today Arnab gave me a link to a post of The 3rd World View. Rezwanul here talks about a blogger and journalist from Bangladesh, who has been arrested for writing or exposing the activity of the military backed government of the country.

But the worrying thing we get from this is that he was arrested because of the contents of his personal blog. So Bloggers in Bangladesh are now in the focal point. This creates an enormous responsibility on the bloggers who should counter check their facts before writing anything as they will be under scrutiny. And still they should not be intimidated to tell the truth because they will always have people who support freedom of speech and are against oppression without documented conviction.

This is not the first time that bloggers have faced this kind of situation. Karim Soliman has also been arrested for his blog content. He was actually suspended from his university before the arrest.
