American Republicans, Good Luck!

This is not even funny how republicans are getting into one after another scandals. Both of the previous presidential elections were fought by the Republicans on the moral ground. The last presidential election was totally horrible. 60% of the people who voted for the Republicans did so because of morality. The Republicans tried so hard to make themselves look like the guardians of faith. However, one after another scandals really exposing to the US and the world that the Republicans are not any better than the Democrats.
Craig resigns after the vicious sex scandals. He becomes the third key Republican senators to face scandal charges after Ted Stevens of Alaska and David Vitter of Louisiana this year. This is becoming very sad because after all those Iraq war failures the Republicans were still connecting to the Americans using the religion cards repeatedly. They were demonizing the liberals on the basis of their morality. However, now it seems like that this is not going to happen anymore. They are not in any circumstance to talk about moral rights anymore. On the religious sectors, other than whining against homosexuals and abortions they won’t be able to do anything. Some gay haters might still connect on the Republican morality but that’s it.
Therefore, there is a good chance that we will see some Democrat taking weird actions for the next 7-8 years in the US. People will then get tired of Democrats and come back to the Republicans again. I personally think that if it were the Democrats in power, they would have gone to war against Iraq as well. Since they are in the opposition now they have been whining about this. Most of the Democrats actually supported the Iraq war when it started. This is the significant disadvantage with the two party politics. There are parties like the Libertarian Party, who side with the Republicans on the economic issues and with the Democrats on the social issues. Nevertheless, the support for parties like these is very low.
