Who uses Yahoo anymore?

Everyone is talking about this whole situation now-a-days. I think Yahoo was just being pure stupid by not accepting the deal presented by Microsoft. The reason is because even though Yahoo was big once upon a time they are not big anymore. They are so useless now-a-days online. When I say useless I mean that I can live without Yahoo. I cannot live without Microsoft and I cannot live without google at all. Therefore, they are essential. That’s just me. What do you think? I know a lot of people use Yahoo! messenger but let’s face it, Windows Live Messenger is actually if not better as good as the Yahoo! messenger. Why else would you use Yahoo?
Do you use Yahoo? What’s the most important usage of Yahoo for you? Help me out here. I don’t see any particular important usage of Yahoo! Do you think the same?
pffft, I couldn’t disagree more. I use AIM over Windows Messenger, and the rest of their services I could care less for. At least Yahoo has some interesting products that they now own, such as that FireFox musicplayer extension, Y!Answers, and a few other things. Alhough I agree, I couldn’t imagine who uses their mail, search, or messenger.

Yahoo! email is much more effective at catching spam than Hotmail. I’ve had both for years and I still get 3+ spam in my Hotmail inbox each day with maybe one/week escaping the Yahoo! spam filter.
I don’t use any messengers and I use Google for searches, but I’ve found pictures on Yahoo! search when I couldn’t find them on Google and vice-versa.
I like things as-is… competition = better products.

Well, I disagree about “I can’t live without Microsoft” …come on, Microsoft is total crap. I’m free from Microsoft since the day I started using Linux some years ago and, actually, my life is better without Microsoft. About Yahoo, well, I think that for most people Google is enough but for people who really know how to use a search engine or like to digg into the internet’s underground, they may start with Google but Yahoo is a definitely second choice to search for info if you don’t get what you want in Google.
