Hey, do you like Google’s New Favicon?

If you guys haven’t noticed, our beloved Google got a new favicon now for the Google search! In the following picture the one on the right is the new favicon and the one on the left is the previous favicon.
This is how it looks like from my firefox. Sorry about the graphics. I had to do it really fast since I am so busy with my exams. I didn’t have time to go over and resize it. Just click on the thumbnail and it will take you to the full version.
I really don’t like the new one. The previous one was a way better. This one looks corny to me. The previous one was professional and simple and I like something that is professional and simple. When I saw the new one I thought I made some mistake in typing the URL or something. Anyways, I guess we will get used to it and start liking it soon. Sometimes we don’t enjoy change.
A few people were saying that the new google’s favicon actually represent “infinity” as it looks like an upside down “infinity” symbol. It could be that. What do you think? I am not an insider and these are all assumptions for me.

ha ha ha…. The new favicon seems cute to me! Anyway, we can safely assume that google won’t keep anything alive if they find it unpopular.

Ya it is cute you are rite. I m used to looking at google as being professional and all. it looks kinda odd for me.

I didn’t like the old one because of its simplicity – one would expect google to have something simple, but yet very stylish and memorable – in my opinion they should just have changed the old one into something similar but better looking (ergo I don’t like the new one either
)
