the bbb is an indepandant buisness that only deals officially with companies that PAY to be advertised threw them!.. this is how they work,, no lie, no gimmick, they openly tell you this! they will make a call, offer to advertise you as a legit buisness if you pay them,, as a nonlegit buisness woulnt pay to be badmouthed!! bbb has no legal authority! they just sell thier seal to legit companys who want to buy the bbb brand!

Hi,
I am from the Montreal (Qué) area.
I used MajickJack for 2 years now.
The first one everything was super !!!
Lately the more it goes the less number I can reach where my contact can hear me.
I tried lots of tricks on the web and so far … nothing worked.
When people call me everything is OK even those numbers.

Is anyone can help me?

Technical data:
Windows XP sp3
Powered USB port D-Link
Router DLink D-628

From Day one the hardware has not impacted the result.

I am really considering going with someone else.
BTW I did contact their chat support 3 times for a total of close to 10 hours total.

I recently purchased a new computer (Dell Laptop)a new telephone (Panasonic) and changed my internet provider (Rogers). I’v had magicjack for nearly 3 years and recently started having dropped calls and incming coversations have sometimes been broken up. Could this be due to Windows 7 or the new internet? Any help would be appreciated………..Thanks

Oops!Reason no one can reach me is I transposed two numbers. I was giving the incorrect # out. My fault. A real cost saver! Had it for 4 months and lots of long-distance call-outs FREE.

I have an increasing number of days when people call my magic jack # and a message comes on saying ‘this customer is unavailable’. Today that is all they get, even when I call in from a cellphone within feet of the mj phone. I’ve rebooted, nothing changes. I am with Bell on my cell phone, but it’s the same with Rogers. Have the phone companies figured out how to read mj numbers and block them? The answering service doesn’t work–just ‘customer unnavailable’.
Am I going to have to revert to paying for a landline again?
Frustrated.

hi im from Trinidad and i own a magicjack i am able to make calls to anywhere in the US and Canada to landlines and ceelphones however my friend recently bought a cellphone from Rogers and i’ve not been able to reach him the magicjack keeps saying trying and then there are two beeps and it cuts off however i am able to call other cellphones from the same network Rogers but not this one is this a problem with my magicjack?

I was interested in getting the magic jack – why do I think I thought it was for sale at what used to be Radio Shack? Mostly want it because I am in a small town just outside of Burlington ON and it is long distance to call Toronto – most my family is there so would be nice to not have to pay long distance – funny because my Koodo phone from Burlington isn’t long distance but the minutes are killer – any how any advice on where to purchase one and do you think it would be worth my while? Thanks for any feed back on this (was looking at the magicjack canada but have been warned now via this site)

I bought a magicjack and it is horrible. I even cancelled my landline phone and when the phone rings no one can hear me. It cuts in and out all the time. You can’t phone anyone that has voice mail … it hangs up on you if there is any idol going on … and on and on it goes!

A total waste of money and now I have to get my landline phone connected and hopefully my phone number back.

This was a disaster and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. My friend has the same problems!

What a disappointment this purchase was!

Not a great company that provides any support or comments and communication at all.

DON’T GET A MAGICJACK … THEY AREN’T WORTH IT.
