MagicJack After a Week in Toronto

Many of you might have read my previous post on my initial experience with MagicJack. With this post I will say what I still think about this. With this device I can hear people really clearly….almost as good as my cellphone. However, the problem is that the volume is really low for other people. I tried increasing the mic volume to the highest but the problem still prevails. I really do not know if this is an issue at Toronto or Canada but it seems to be an issue for me.
It’s not living up to my expectations to tell you the truth. I do have the 30 days money back guarantee. Should I return in? Well, I decided not to return this because as I said in my previous post I got what I paid for. I cannot expect a smooth connection with 20 bucks/year. I will leave this. I am also currently doing some research to figure out if there is any way I would be able to use this device with skype. This VOIP service from canada is really good as I have heard and I will try this out in the future.
Also, I am thinking that MagicJack will improve their services along the road. If that happens then that would be great. Until then I am not sure how much I would be using this.
had it for a couple days and love it. people dont know the difference when I call its so clear. Cancelled my long distance plan and use just this now.

I purchased 2 of the magicjack one i use here in toronto and the other i sent to my family in india and it works perfectly fine now I will start saving on my long distance bills (Huge bills)

magic-jack is a user unfriendly piece of equipment and so is there help section and by far the worst is there live help they wont let you enter your correct area code so if any one local to you wants to talk to you they must pay long distance fees
and wont give you your correct area code without paying more money they are a rip off i am filing fraud charges with my bank as of this post

I am having trouble registering my magic Jack, and when I got the customer Care help… my computer froze and so they cut my conection…now I can’t get any support..just the “old loop de loop” No suppport, I think my next step is to TRY to return it…

We bought Magic Jack at the Electronics Show in Las Vegas and have used it since and it works great!…we are now on vacation in Mexico and it works excellent….I highly recommend this product….will save lots of money in long distance calls for sure!….not sure what all the negative comments are all about….we are ordering more for all our family members!!

i bought 1 love it,i have no problems with hearing calls,and people hear me clearly,the only problem i find every so often is when i make a call it might take 15-20 sec to start ringing on the other end,but for $20 a year i can live with this,and i love you can take it traveling with you,now that adds up to big savings,ENJOY
