all you need to do is have highspeed internet with rogers, not sure if the internet you have right now will work, cause you said you have LIGHT speed, maybe not stong or speeedy enough,

So you neeed to have highspeed internet and a homephone, nit sreif a regular home phone or portable home phone, meaning cordless phone.

When you buy the magic jack, it comes with USP cord, which you hookup to computer, you must have a computer about 5 years old, which have USB cord outlet, so you hook up the USB cord that you get when you buy the magic jack and also there is the other end of the majic jack that has to hookup to the phone or the phone outlet on you wall, once you get those two things hooked up, you can dial longdistance, and should be good to go.

Go go store first and ask questions, before buying…

Im in toronto also, however, im with rogers net and i have highspeed LITE which by reading alot of pplz posts this magic jack wont work with the type of net speed i have correct? I dont know if i can trust this product… i am very confused how this works.. can i stil use a regular telephone or just using the computer to make calls? im very lost if someone can help me please and thank you, this is for my mom and if this involves dialing from a compluter this is definately not good for my mom she doesn’t know how to use a compluter. thanks for all your help.

magic jack is 100% perfect all yu need is to have high speed internet not dsl or any other i have this almost a year and i would say its 101 % EXCELLENT if yu have HIGH SPEED NET

i bought 1 love it,i have no problems with hearing calls,and people hear me clearly,the only problem i find every so often is when i make a call it might take 15-20 sec to start ringing on the other end,but for $20 a year i can live with this,and i love you can take it traveling with you,now that adds up to big savings,ENJOY

We bought Magic Jack at the Electronics Show in Las Vegas and have used it since and it works great!…we are now on vacation in Mexico and it works excellent….I highly recommend this product….will save lots of money in long distance calls for sure!….not sure what all the negative comments are all about….we are ordering more for all our family members!!
