A few days back, I decided to use twitter for the first time in months. I have been on and off with twitter. I have a good number of followers and I should really maintain it properly. Anyways, so, to check what people are saying about Worldcup I decided to start tweeting again.

Then I decided to do a search on what’s being said about Yogananda. I came across one of the most amazing feeds and power of community. This feed if you have checked already you would see contains people posting various quotes of Yogananda. All these quotes of him I find are very relevant to me personally. Therefore, even if you are not into twitter even then you should bookmark this link and take a look once in a while when you need some guidance.

After watching the US primary drama unfolding on the republican side this question popped into my head. Romney and others are trying to portray McCain as being not a “true” conservative. I have seen this in other people as well. Many people know if they stand on the right (conservative) or on the left (liberal) of the political spectrum. They agree with almost everything of their respective parties from the political spectrum.

However, I have found that it is extremely hard for me to stand on the right or the left political spectrum. A vast majority of the issues I do agree with the people on the left or the liberals. For instance, I strongly believe in free medical care for all the citizens. I also believe that the outlook of a nation is judged by how it treats in minorities. I think sometimes “special favours” or affirmative actions are required to provide equality for the population, who are not doing enough. I also believe that businesses do require some regulations to make sure that it is not trying to carry out aggressive actions. On the social side, I favour homosexual marriage. I believe that we do not choose our sexual orientation and therefore, it is stupid to discriminate against people on the basis of this. I am also very pro-science. I strongly believe that evolution should be taught in classes and that creationism is just bullshit. It doesn’t make any particular sense to me. We see examples of evolutions in our daily life. I don’t want to get into that crap. Oh yes, I also strongly believe in the separation of the church and the state. The conservative movement in the west actually has become extremely affiliated with religions and I think this has to stop.

There are many things where I strongly support the conservative policies. The biggest of one is the national security. I believe that the western governments need to understand the threats of terrorism and take strong actions to stop it. I think we are not doing enough. It is so easy for a terrorist in the city of Toronto to carry a bag with bombs and explode them in downtown subway stations during the rush hours. In this issue I am actually extremely on the right even compared to many hardcore conservatives. I think civil liberties are important but I am happy to give it up for the sake of the security of the nation. Only the wrongdoers have to worry not others. I am happy to wait in the airport or subway stations if required for a tight security. I don’t really believe in attacking other nations. I just want the western nations to become strong in their own areas. War doesn’t solve anything. It just encourages the ideology of the terrorists. It’s not a war against another nation but a war against an extremist ideology. I am also not really a big fan of some of the pro-multicultural policies of Canada. The taxpayers money goes to various cultural organizations to help them celebrate their cultures. Why would a person, who has nothing to do with my culture would pay for my cultural celebrations. It doesn’t make any sense. Also, in our media, it’s really encouraged to maintain the cultures of our parents. Therefore, we got people here, who are not Canadian first but Indian or Chinese first and Canadian second. That’s why we have Quebec trying to separate from us.

Therefore, it really becomes hard for me to choose a party during elections. I have been a member of the Liberal Party, Conservative Party and Green Party. During the previous federal election, I voted for the Conservative Party but during the provincial election I voted NDP, the most lefty party.

Even though it is hard for me to choose a party, there is one person, with whom I disagree the most. I disagree with him in every single point. It’s not even funny. The person is Ron Paul. I think this dude is extremely out of touch with western politics. He believes in stupid conspiracy theories. He is an attention whore. His views on economy would ruin our environment and everything. He doesn’t want to regulate the corporations and so they are allowed to rape us as much as possible. On national security, he believes aliens attacked the twin towers (!!)….well not really but he would say that to get some votes of 15-year-olds. Oh wait, 15-year-olds can’t vote. His policies would have terrorists bombing the US. He blames the US for all the problems of terrorism. It is correct that the US is partially to be blamed but not totally to be blamed. People like Kamal Ataturk also fought off the western occupations of Turkey but he didn’t use suicide bombing or used religion to blind people. The reason is simple. Kamal Ataturk was not fighting for an ideology but was fighting for his country. That was his main purpose. On the other hand, the terrorists are fighting for a twisted version of religion. Therefore, you cannot blame just the US for all the problems. The terrorists would have attacked the western countries regardless of their presence in their nations.

Anyways, getting back to the discussions, it is extremely hard for me to stand firmly on one part of the political spectrum. I sort of support the mixture of different policies. I am always undecided and make up my mind a few days before the elections.

World’s first homosexual marriage took place in Ireland. Europe (except Greece) compared to Canada and the US seems to be more sensitive towards homosexuals. This legal marriage took place in 2001 when 2 lesbian and 6 gay grooms got married. It was a historical event because it was the first of its kind. Before that same-sex partners were allowed to have civil union in Ireland since 1998. Homosexual marriage is still a very heated debate in Canada and in the US it is mostly a big taboo. The rights to homosexual marriage in Ireland was passed in a very controversial way as all the Christian parties opposed it. It is very funny how only the political religious folks seem to be against equality. You see I am distinguishing normal religious folks from the political ones. I have seen devout religious people being very respective to other cultures. Usually it’s the religious political people who are a bunch of bigots. When it came to equal rights for blacks they were the ones to oppose it the most. They are the ones who hate the Muslims & other minorities more. Anyways, hopefully the couples are doing good.

According to many professionals the oldest practiced religion in this world is various forms of Hinduism that are still practiced today. However, Hinduism is not the oldest religion existed. Many small or big religions arose and then drifted away. Many religions that we have today might not exist in a thousand years so because our point of view changes and along with social outlook. Anyways, according to many archaeologists, different types of rituals existed 40,000 years back. However, quite recently in Botswana most probably world’s oldest religion practiced. It was a group of people, who worshiped python. This is a picture of a six meter long and 2 meter high stone in the shape of a python created by men.

In Ontario, the provincial election battle ground always comes down to education. According to the Toronto Star poll, education costs is the most important issue for the people with 26% with money for the cities and taxes in 22%. Therefore, all the parties need to worry about education more than other issues.

As the election campaign is rolling, I am finding more and more evidence that NDP seems to be the only party with ideas on education. They seem to be the only one that atleast tries to connect with the university students. Howard Hampton promises tuition fee rollback to 2003-2004 academic year before McGuinty took over. NDP also promises a tuition fee freeze helping the university students save $460 every year. Tuition fee freeze is important because we are paying too much in university. Provinces such as Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Québec and Newfoundland and Labrador already introduced tuition fee freeze.

I still remember McGuinty in TV breaking one after another promise. When he was in the opposition he talked “on behalf on 1000s of students” but then when he took over he decided to side with the corporations forgetting students. This video is correct showing that during his time the university was not this expensive.

Not just education, he broke his promise in raising taxes and many other sectors. He does not deserve a second chance in my opinion. Then we have the tories supporting public faith based schools. I think if the education is public then all the public should receive the same education. Put this money into public board rather than faith schools.

It’s actually good that we are going to have a minority government with NDP holding the balance of power. Therefore, a lot of NDP policies will get introduced in the budget.

I am writing this as a reaction to a recent battle between religious rights and human rights in British Columbia. Here is the story. Summarizing the story it stands like this. Sextuplets were born prematurely to a Jehovah’s Witness family. These 6 children required immediate blood transfusion. However, according to their beliefs, blood transfusion is not allowed. This is one of the very main core of this religion that separates from other religions. The children were taken to the hospital but they were not allowed to have blood transfusion because it is against their religion. As a result, 2 of the children died. The 3 children, who required blood transfusion were finally provided so after the BC government won the case. Most probably the rest of the children would be fine.

Anyways, now here is a battle between religious rights and human rights to live. I do not understand that why would parents even allow their children to die for some religious restriction. Some of these religious people claim to be pro-life and others but I find religions now-a-days are becoming a way too much anti-life. Every single problem around the world seems to have some kind of contribution of religion. Religion is for humans. It is there so that we can live a healthy life in this world and after we die. However, religions are becoming a source of death rather than life. When it comes to human rights, my personal opinion would be to forget about everything else. These kids need blood transfusion and so provide them. If their religions say it then just too bad. The duty of a medical doctor is to save them no matter what.

You know, you can justify anything when it comes to religion. Some Jehovah’s Witness extremist might say that all these 5 children were supposed to die as wanted by the God. However, by providing blood transfusion the medical workers and government intervened on God’s plans. Well, I think we need to use brains here. Religions were created hundreds of years ago reflecting the understanding of the people from those era. Religions are not born in one day. No one wakes up and say, “I will start a religion today.” It stands up gradually. Therefore, as the time changes, it is important for the religions to reform. All the major religious leaders we see today, all of them were hated because of their reformist views. These leaders were too modern for those ancient people. We need to follow the ideals of the leaders if we are truly religious. Today, if Jesus were to ask if he supported the rejection of medical treatment for some religious rule, I am pretty sure he would be supported life rather than death here. They are great examples of reforms and religions throughout the world require some MAJOR reform!

This is my first post in this blog. I am returning to blogging after a very long time. Anyways, I have recently realized that I am the Antichrist.

I was born on 06/06/ at 5:10:06 (3 6s).

My phone number is “*6*-66**”.

I have failed chemistry, biology and physics each 6 times! Therefore again 3 6s.

My bank balance currently is “666″.

I weigh “666″ pounds.

Then, I was rejected by females “666″ times.

I have sixhundred and sixty-six number of birthmarks throughout my body.

I am not a Christian and so I don’t follow Jesus Christ.

I worship power and money. I ask everyone to do the same.

Therefore, yes I AM the antichrist! It’s not the person in the two videos I am going to post. In the first video, this guy claims that he is the “Jesus Christ” and in the second one he claims to be “antichrist.” He is like Mr. Bush can’t keep his story straight. That proves that he is not the Anti-Christ but I am and I am looking for recruiters in taking over the world.

PERSON CLAIMS TO BE JESUS CHRIST

SAME PERSON CLAIMS TO BE ANTICHRIST
