Yahoo decides that they would work with Google not with Microsoft. These executives of Yahoo are pathetic to tell you the truth.

Yahoo walks away from Microsoft negotiations
Yahoo is nearing an agreement with Google involving its search advertising business

Today there is an internet monopoly by Google. I am not against Google. I cannot live without Google as I said before. However, I really do not like the Monopoly that Google currently has over the internet. Similarly, I cannot live without Microsoft but I do not like the Microsoft monopoly over the Operating Systems and softwares.

Therefore, an agreement with Microsoft would have meant the rise of stronger competition against Google. Now, Yahoo made Google more powerful over the internet. I wished Yahoo! made a bit more smarter choice.

Porn and/or adult industries are booming. More and more we are exposed to adult materials everywhere. The things that were considered “inappropriate” like a decade back is considered okay now. We have various movies and books coming out encouraging the art of female nudity and sexuality. Da Vinci Code directly talked about sexual intercourse as being a spiritual uplifting moment. Dan Brown compared the orgasm period as being the period of spiritual liberation because at the time of orgasm you actually differentiate your mind from outside the world. That’s a VERY interesting analysis.

Anyways, my point is that more and more this is going to become an issue. Since internet so nicely connect us to everywhere porn is becoming easily accessible. How do you think a woman should respond if she finds porn in her husband’s computer? I personally have no idea. I have seen that many of my friends watch porn when they are stressed out or something. They watch to take their minds off stress through immediate pleasure. For instance, when we are stressed out a lot of us tend to eat a lot. It’s just your brain trying to decrease the load through alternative ways. However, excessive pornography by anyone would mean that he is suffering from some kind of disability and should be treated.

Do you think a woman should be more considerate when they find porn or should they be angry. What do you think? I am not a woman so I don’t know. If I find porn in my GF or wife’s computer I wouldn’t mind. Is it the same for you? Would you mind if you find porn in your girlfriend’s computer?

I was getting the hint that Microsoft was not that serious anymore about XP. They are a way too caught up with promoting vista that they forgot about their previous successful operating system. A lot of people still love XP and the love fest increased more as Microsoft decided to stop supporting XP starting from July I believe.

Initially when vista came out it was absolutely a horrible experience as a lot of drivers didn’t work in Vista at all. It looked like a total new operating system. Many people I was talking to was considering to move to MAC rather than trying to play around with Vista. The condition however I find dramatically improved with SP1. Still a lot of people have beef with vista.

This post is about XP but I had to give my 2 cents on Vista. Their newest SP of XP is a plain joke. It looked like as if they promised a SP and so they had to provide one. Microsoft admits that this SP will not dramatically change the XP experience. However they are wrong. It might absolutely screw up your current experience. I don’t think they invested enough resource in researching and troubleshooting. Therefore, we saw them at the beginning delaying it and now we are seeing them really screwing it up.

ItBusiness.ca, one of the sites of the company that I work for ran a story today about how Symantec is blaming the Service Pack for a lot of issues.

“We finally got to the bottom of this last night,” said Dave Cole, Symantec’s senior director for product management of its consumer software. “All of these problems are related to the same thing, a Microsoft file that created all the garbage entries [in the registry].”

He also said that some of the same symptoms had been acknowledged by Microsoft when users updated to Windows XP SP2 several years ago; Cole referenced a pair of Microsoft support documents to back up his claim.

Two weeks ago, after Microsoft launched Windows XP SP3 on Windows Update, users started reporting that their network cards and previously crafted connections had mysteriously vanished from Windows after updating with the service pack. The Device Manager had been emptied, they said, and Windows’ registry, a directory that stores settings and other critical information, had been packed with large numbers of bogus entries.

The lesson would be to wait before taking the step. I haven’t updated to SP3 yet. I really hate to get into useless issues as I believe in getting things done. If SP3 delays me then I so don’t want it anywhere around my computer. I might just stick to XP and upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out in 2009 as planned. Unless I really need I don’t want to move to a new operating system that might well be discontinued in less than 3 years.

I came accross a very interesting news in cnn. This couple in germany actually put up their baby on sale in ebay. Both of them have been arrested for investigation on child trafficking. Let’s read the news

BERLIN, Germany (AP) — Authorities in southern Germany said Saturday they have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, the equivalent of $1.57.

Peter Hieber, a spokesman for police in the Bavarian town of Krumbach, said the baby was placed in the care of youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu region, although the child’s 23-year-old mother insisted the ad was only a joke.

Authorities have launched an investigation into possible child trafficking against the baby’s mother and 24-year-old father, neither of whom was identified.

“Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches (70 cm) long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller,” police quoted the ad as reading.

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted on Tuesday. EBay later deleted the posting, but assisted police in tracking down the parents.

What do you think about this incident? It wasn’t about money as the article states. It was because of the child becoming really loud (!). The parents are obviously tech-savvy as they are using ebay for this obvious illegal activity. I can’t think of anything worse than this. If you are not good enough to take care of your baby then you shouldn’t have had the baby in the first place. This is really sick. I am wondering if others think the same way as me.
