Around that time, they wanted to do experiments with a new advertisement revenue strategy, which will become very common to today’s web. AT&T was the first company to put this ad into Hotwired’s website. Before we check out the ad, we should know that this is not only the first banner ad but also most probably the worst one used commercially. Well, I guess we could cut some slack for them since they created the first one ever. Therefore, here it goes.
